Forest Bathing? Is it for you




One thing I learned on my healing journey & living with PTSD, is how some professional's advice is "just do 'X'". The challenge, I found, is I know I should do "x" but to get my body & my mind to connect & communicate is a challenge. I know exercise is beneficial, but to get back into an exercise routine hasn't been easy. I am re-learning how to connect my body & my mind.


One way I dohis is by forest bathing. I connect with my body, mind, and spirit in the woods. Forest Bathing isn't about exercising in the woods. I'm not going on a hike. I'm not trying to get my steps in. I'm not committed to a time frame.


It's a mindful connection to the environments. The sounds...........the smells........the feeling......the enjoyment of animals who come to share their energy with me. It's about the feeling of the moss on my feet/body. It's the feeling of the sunshine beaming in around the trees.


I have spent a lot of time learning how to self heal, which has been heavy at time. I often hoped there was someone available that I could have as a coach/therapist in energy area. It's a new field, but it's going to be a fast growing field. Being coached on how to self heal is of benefit. It allows you to work with someone who uses the strategies themselves.
