Healing the Inner Child

“Go back and take care of yourself. Your body needs you, your perceptions need you, your feeling needs you. The wounded child in you needs you. Your suffering needs you to acknowledge it.”

I have read several books to help me heal and I feel like I should share some of my favorites. Taking the time to embrace these books may be a way to peel away another layer.

Often when one starts peeling back layers, a connection with our inner child is needed. Taking time to reflect on some of your childhood activities, re-connecting with those activities.

This book was an easy read and reminded myself to connect to my own inner child, as well the inner child in others.

The theme of Reconciliation is on awareness of our emotions and healing our relationships. There are meditations and exercises to acknowledge and transform the hurt that many of us experienced as children.

The book discusses the emotions of anger, sadness, and fear can eventually become joy and tranquility by learning to breathe with, explore, meditate, and speak about our strong emotions.

If one wants to explore the practices on their own, reading Reconciliation will offers specific practices designed to bring healing and release for people suffering from childhood trauma. If one wants to explore this through sessions, feel free to reach out.

I hope this book suggestion helps.
